Dedham Museum and Archive group outing on Tuesday February 3rd, 2026
Please join us for the group outing on Tuesday February 3rd from 5:00-6:00 p.m to the Dedham Museum and Archive focusing on viewing two important paintings in their collection: a landscape by John Constable (1776-1837) and a portrait by
Gilbert Stuart (1755-1828).
The painting by Constable, titled The Vale of Dedham (England), depicts a view and landscape the artist painted several times between 1802 and 1828. The Stuart painting, dated 1808, is of Mrs. Benjamin Bussey of Dedham, MA. Member Christine Tuttle (former Sotheby’s London auction house specialist and art historian) will give a talk about the works of art and members will be able to tour the galleries. An exhibit about the art of the Rust Craft greeting card company is on display. Event is open to 12 members with advance
sign up.
A $5 voluntary donation for each member that will be given to the Museum as a donation from our group.
